The Odyssey Extreme ODS-AGM30E (PC950) battery is an AGM TPPL (Thin Plate Pure Lead) battery designed to meet the demands of competition vehicles, recreational vehicles, marine applications, off-road vehicles, or any application requiring high starting power and excellent resistance to deep discharge. Its pure lead plate technology allows it to deliver exceptional power while offering a significantly longer service life than a conventional battery.

Thanks to its sealed, maintenance-free AGM design, the PC950 effectively withstands shocks and vibrations while allowing installation in almost any position (except during completely upside down mounting). Its very low internal resistance promotes rapid recharging and high starting power, even under the most challenging conditions.

With a capacity of 34 Ah, a power rating of 950 PHCA, and 400 A CCA, this battery ensures both engine starting and power to electrical accessories. Its Dual Purpose design allows for use in both starting and deep-cycle applications, with up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge—up to three times the lifespan of a conventional battery.

This battery is equipped with M6 threaded terminals. For installation on standard automotive terminals, Odyssey offers the SAE 3217-0073 terminal kit, available separately.

Thanks to its very low self-discharge rate, the Odyssey PC950 battery can be stored for up to 2 years without use, provided it is properly charged before storage. To maintain full performance and maximize its service life, it is essential to keep the voltage close to full charge, i.e. , 12.8 V. The use of a charger specifically designed for AGM TPPL batteries—such as a CTEK model or equivalent capable of delivering a 100% charge (or even 108% on certain models)—is strongly recommended. A conventional battery charger typically recharges the battery to only about 80% of its capacity, which can reduce its performance and service life.

The tightening torque for the terminals is 6.8 Nm, and the battery is designed to operate within a temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C. To maintain the manufacturer’s warranty, it is recommended that you never use a battery with a voltage below 11.50 V. A deeply discharged battery may suffer irreversible damage that is not covered by the warranty.
