Rally stars, from the Ardèche to Finland

By Jean-François Boulet

Villages, landscapes and roads are the soul of rallying. With his talent for storytelling, Jean-François Boulet takes us to the very heart of the sport, where every hamlet, every bend, becomes a character. If the Monte Carlo Rally, the Critérium des Cévennes, the Tour of Corsica or the 1000 Lacs have been elevated to the status of legends, it's thanks to their high points: Burzet, Morosaglia, Notre-Dame-de-la-Rouvière, the Moulinon, the Chartreuse, Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, Marchampt, Ouninpohja...

The author takes us on a journey through the mountains, through the forests, along the tarmac, over the passes or along the tracks, into the heart of thatched cottages... These places vibrate, resonate, and shape destinies. Here, through their exploits and extraordinary journeys, men and women, drivers, co-drivers and unknowns have written the history of rallying.

From the stars to the ‘forgotten’, the portraits narrated by the author unfold and the breath of adventure sweeps us along in an unprecedented historical fresco. But above all, this book is a flamboyant compendium of passion.

Born in 1970, Jean-François Boulet lives in the Haute-Loire but claims his roots in the Ardèche. His passion for rallying has led him to criss-cross Europe in search of stories and encounters. Although he has already brilliantly demonstrated his talents as a narrator in Rallyes-Magazine and on the Rallye-Sport website, this is his first book.
