Road Series – for use on roads and highways
The products in the Road Series range are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for around 30 years. Advances have given this material special properties. Suspension parts are among the most heavily used components in a car and are subject to enormous stresses.
Originally, these parts were made from rubber containing products that deteriorate with age. Over time, the vehicle moves more and more and offers less and less control over the suspension geometry.
This leads to accelerated tire wear, unstable braking, and poor road holding.
Powerflex has therefore created a material to overcome these problems. They have designed a polyurethane compound that allows parts to be manufactured that are 25 to 30% stiffer than older rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise absorption properties.
