Black Series - for track and motorsport
Black Series products are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for some thirty years. Advances in the field have given this material special properties. Suspension components are among the most highly stressed parts of a car, and are subject to enormous stress.
Originally, these parts were made from rubber-containing products that deteriorate over time. Over time, the vehicle moves more and more, offering less and less control over suspension geometry.
The result is accelerated tire wear, braking instability and poor handling.
The Black Series is distinguished by the use of Powerflex's hardest material, Black 95A.
So Powerflex created the material to solve these problems. It has designed a polyurethane compound that enables it to produce parts 25% to 30% stiffer than previous rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise-absorbing properties.
