RacingLine Aluminum Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap – Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda

The RacingLine brake fluid cap for compatible Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, and Škoda models completely replaces the original plastic cap. It combines an aluminum construction with an improved air venting system, designed to balance the pressure in the brake fluid reservoir, particularly during intensive track use.

As the brake pads wear down, the caliper pistons move forward and the fluid level in the reservoir gradually drops. The air venting system must compensate for this change to prevent a vacuum from forming. This phenomenon can occur, in particular, when pad wear is rapid, such as on a vehicle equipped with a big brake kit used on the track.

The RacingLine reservoir plug features a pressure-balancing system optimized compared to the original plug. It accommodates fluctuations in fluid level and helps ensure the reservoir functions properly under these conditions. Its function is to perform air venting; it does not increase the hydraulic pressure generated during braking.

The body is CNC-machined on five axes from 6061 aluminum, then polished and anodized in glossy Midnight Black. This finish lends a polished look to the engine compartment. The RacingLine VWR19G707 is a fully functional reservoir plug, not a decorative cover to be glued over the original part.

Installation

The plug replaces the original part on a compatible reservoir. Clean the rim of the reservoir before opening to prevent contaminants from entering the brake fluid. After mounting, check that the plug is properly seated and closed.
