For years, the Magneti Marelli SEN8D crankshaft sensor, originally fitted as original equipment to the Ford Sierra Cosworth, was the sensor of choice for anyone retrofitting an EFI system, as it combined OE quality with superb reliability, all at a very competitive price.
When Magneti Marelli discontinued this sensor a few years ago, although there were a number of replacement sensors available, none were of the required quality, so we decided to produce our own version.
Part number WSS075W is an OE quality crankshaft sensor manufactured to exacting standards, which has quickly become the industry standard and is specified by many leading manufacturers as well as the top racing engine builders.
Designated WSEN8D, and branded Webcon to distinguish it from poor quality copies, the WSS075W is a straight sensor, with a 440mm long wire and a depth of 20mm, and is a variable reluctance electromagnetic sensor.
It is an electromagnetic variable reluctance transducer (open magnetic flux type) designed for use with a toothed (phonic) wheel.
Length: 440mm
This sensor replaces Magnetti Marelli's SEN8D part.
