This Pipercross intake kit for VAG 2.0 TFSI engines directly replaces the original air cage to improve performance, responsiveness and intake sound. Thanks to a high-efficiency conical filter, a single-piece aluminium duct and heat shielding, this kit offers an average gain of +15 hp and +21 Nm.

The Pipercross heat shield maximises the volume of fresh air available by completely insulating the filter from engine heat. It is laser cut, powder coated and designed to effectively guide air from the original air box.

A 90 mm rigid aluminium duct maximises air flow, fits the original turbo intake and includes a mounting for the MAF pick-up. It is CNC bent, tapered at the end and designed to resist vibration.

Comparative bench tests have shown that this Pipercross kit offers a 146% reduction in pressure drop (intake restriction) compared to the original system. The maximum flow rate measured increased from 481 CFM to 746 CFM, a 43% gain in available airflow, confirming a significant improvement in engine breathing potential.
