The DS1.11 range from Ferodo is a range of brake pads designed for endurance competitions. Unlike its competitors, which make the most of ceramics, Ferodo has chosen Siloxanes. Unlike carbon-based materials, Siloxanes does not break down at high temperatures, allowing the DS1.11 to operate well beyond the maximum temperatures that brake pads might encounter. Thus, Ferodo's DS1.11 pads have excellent heat resistance, long service life and a high coefficient of friction that lasts throughout the life of the pad, but also remains constant in the temperature range. Very gentle on discs, with a coefficient of friction of 0.46 and a temperature range of 200 to 700°C, the DS1.11 are ideal for endurance racing for GTs, single-seaters etc. Not allowed on open roads.
