Ferodo's DS1.11 is a range of brake pads designed for endurance racing. Unlike its competitors, who make the most of ceramic, Ferodo has opted for Siloxanes. Unlike carbon-based materials, Siloxanes does not decompose at high temperatures, enabling the DS1.11 to operate well beyond the maximum temperatures that brake pads are likely to encounter. As a result, Ferodo's DS1.11 pads have excellent heat resistance, long life and a high coefficient of friction that lasts throughout the pad's life, but also remains constant across the temperature range. Extremely gentle on the discs, with a coefficient of friction of 0.46 and a temperature range from 200 to 700°C, DS1.11 are ideal for endurance use in GT, single-seaters, etc. Not for use on open roads.
