The RacingLine VWR144002 Recirculation Wastegate Valve is a reinforced wastegate valve designed to replace the stock wastegate valve on 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen4 (2020+) engines, whether they are completely stock or modified.
The stock wastegate valve uses a diaphragm, which is one of the weak points of the supercharging system. Subjected to high pressures—particularly in remapped vehicles—this diaphragm can tear or deteriorate over time, leading to pressure leaks, a loss of performance, and less efficient turbocharger operation.
To address this issue, RacingLine replaces this design with a piston-based system that is much more resistant to high boost pressures.
This technology offers better responsiveness than the stock valve, optimized sealing, and increased reliability, even during heavy use or on engines producing more power than stock.
This recirculating pop-off retains the original operating principle by recirculating the charge air back into the induction system.
It therefore does not alter the vehicle’s sound and produces no discharge noise (“pschitt”), unlike an asprated wastegate valve.
Mounting is performed in place of the original wastegate valve, without any modifications to the electrics or the engine management system. All operating strategies defined by the manufacturer are retained.
