Road Series – for use on roads and motorways

The products in the Road Series range are made from polyurethane. This specialised plastic has been around for about thirty years. Advances have given this material special properties. The suspension parts are among the most stressed components on a car and are subject to enormous constraints.

Originally, these parts were made from rubber containing products that deteriorate with age. Over time, the vehicle moves more and more and offers less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This leads to accelerated tyre wear, instability under braking and poor road holding.

Powerflex has therefore created the material to overcome these problems. They have designed a polyurethane compound that makes it possible to manufacture parts that are 25 to 30% stiffer than the old rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise absorption properties.
