Road Series – for use on roads and motorways
The products in the Road Series range are made from polyurethane. This specialised plastic has been around for about thirty years. Advances have given this material special properties. The suspension parts are among the most stressed components on a car and are subject to enormous constraints.
Originally, these parts were made from rubber containing products that deteriorate with age. Over time, the vehicle moves more and more and offers less and less control over the suspension geometry.
This leads to accelerated tyre wear, instability under braking and poor road holding.
Powerflex has therefore created the material to overcome these problems. They have designed a polyurethane compound that makes it possible to manufacture parts that are 25 to 30% stiffer than the old rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise absorption properties.
Why choose products from the Powerflex Road Series range?
The advantages:
- Better road holding
- Better bodywork performance
- Control of the amount of unwanted flexion in the suspension
- Better contact of the tyres with the road
- More safety and performance
- Elimination of noise, vibrations and harshness
- Longer tyre life
- Increased safety
Compatibility:
BMW E36 inc M3 (1990 - 1998), BMW 535 - 540 & M5, BMW E46 M3 inc CSL, BMW E9* M3 inc GTS & Cab, BMW Z4M E85 & E86 (2006-2009)
Note: The Road Series range is perfectly suited to ‘tuned’ cars. It is a good compromise between performance and comfort.
Products intended for vehicle modification for competition purposes may render their use prohibited on public roads, insofar as they significantly alter the vehicle's characteristics as specified in the type-approval certificate issued by the relevant authorities (noise level, pollutant emissions, maximum speed, tire dimensions, etc.).
