Road Serie - for roads and expressways
The products in the Road Serie range are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for some thirty years. Progress has been made in the development of special properties for this material. Suspension components are among the most highly stressed parts of a car, and are subject to enormous stresses.
Originally, these parts were made from products containing rubber, which deteriorates over time. Over time, the vehicle moves more and more, offering less and less control over suspension geometry.
This leads to accelerated tire wear, unstable braking and poor roadholding.
Powerflex has developed a material to solve these problems. They have designed a polyurethane compound that enables them to produce parts 25% to 30% stiffer than previous rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise-absorbing properties.
