In the absence of a truss, the original hose tends to collapse under the vacuum generated by the turbo's intake. In addition, the OEM rubber hose is often prone to cracks and leaks over time, which can alter the readings of the MAF pick-up.

Because the 034Motorsport hose is not corrugated and retains a larger internal diameter than the OEM hose, it provides a much smoother flow and circulates more air than the OEM hose.
