The Ferodo DS1.11 is a brake pads range designed for long endurance races.
Contrary to its competitors who use ceramic materials, Ferodo choose the Siloxanes. Contrary to carbon-based compounds, the Siloxanes doesn't decompose under high temperatures, that allow DS1.11 to work under very high temperatures that brake pads never reach.
DS1.11 brakes pads have a constant friction factor of 0.46 all along the temperature range from 200° to 700°C.
The disk wearing is very good while the braking performance are very impressive, that's why the DS1.11 are the perfect brake pads for endurance races.
No suitable for road car use.
