Ferodo’s DS1.11 line is a range of brake pads designed for endurance racing. Unlike its competitors, who make maximum use of ceramic materials, Ferodo has opted for siloxanes.
Unlike carbon-based materials, siloxanes do not decompose at high temperatures, allowing the DS1.11 to operate well beyond the maximum temperatures that brake pads might encounter.
As a result, Ferodo’s DS1.11 brake pads offer excellent heat resistance, a long service life, and a high coefficient of friction that not only lasts throughout the pad’s lifespan but also remains constant across the entire temperature range.
The DS1.11 pads have a gentle effect on rotors, featuring a coefficient of friction of 0.46 and a temperature range of 200 to 700°C. They are ideal for endurance racing in GTs, single-seaters, and similar vehicles.
