Forge oil catch tank system for 2.0 Liter FSi

Suitable for vehicles fitted with a carbon filter.

Excess crankcase pressure is evacuated from the crankcase by the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned to the engine. This recirculated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase, which is burnt by the engine. Turbocharged engines often draw large quantities of oil into the engine via the PCV system.

This Forge oil catch tank system removes the aerated oil so that it can be drained and recycled. The kit is suitable for installation on 2-liter FSi engines such as VW MK5 Golf, MK5 Golf Edition 30 and SEAT Leon Cupra (not for CCTA CBFA engine codes).

Depending on geographical location, some compatible vehicles are fitted with a carbon filter to meet local emissions regulations. The filter is located at the front of the engine compartment (on the left when you open the hood); see also the black plastic tank in the image of the engine compartment in photo number 2. This kit, part number FMMK5CTC, is intended for models fitted with a charcoal filter.
