ButlerBuilt Transparent NACA-Type Air Vent, Ø76 mm
The transparent ButlerBuilt NACA air intake captures outside air and channels it into a Ø76.2 mm (3") aeration ducting on a tuned or race car. Its streamlined NACA shape is particularly well-suited for cooling brakes, supplying fresh air to the engine intake, or ventilating the cockpit.
Its transparent design is particularly well-suited for integration into a Lexan or polycarbonate window. It allows for an air vent to be installed directly on the side or rear window of a race car while maintaining a discreet visual appearance.
The NACA shape allows the air vent to be integrated with minimal protrusion compared to a conventional external air scoop. It is therefore a suitable solution for mounting on bodywork or glass when the installation requires channeling air to a specific area of the vehicle.
For brake cooling, aeration ducting can be connected to the air intake to direct cool air toward the brake discs and other components of the braking system.
It can also be used to provide a fresh air supply to the engine intake, air box, or air filter, or to ventilate the cockpit, depending on the location and mounting configuration.
Its Ø76.2 mm (3") connector allows for the use of aeration ducting of the corresponding diameter.
This clear ButlerBuilt NACA air vent is sold individually.
