Prosport EVO 52 mm Exhaust Temperature Gauge – 200 to 1,200 °C

The Prosport EVO EGT 52 mm exhaust temperature gauge allows you to monitor the temperature of the exhaust gases exiting the engine, within a range of 200 to 1,200 °C. The term EGT, which stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature, refers to this measurement. This gauge is designed for drivers and tuners who wish to expand their instrumentation to monitor the engine’s thermal behavior during spirited driving.

The system operates using a supplied Type K thermocouple probe installed on the exhaust. Exposed to the heat of the exhaust gases, it generates an electrical signal that the gauge converts into a temperature reading. The digital display shows the measured value, while the 270° scale makes it easy to track temperature changes.

Monitoring theEGT allows you to observe how the temperature changes as engine load increases, such as during prolonged acceleration or a track session. It also helps compare thermal behavior before and after a modification, provided the temperature sensor location and measurement conditions remain comparable. An unusual spike may prompt a check of engine operation, but EGT alone cannot identify the source of a problem or determine the richness of the fuel mixture.

The displayed value depends, in particular, on the temperature sensor’s location on the exhaust. On a turbocharged engine, a measurement taken before the turbine cannot be interpreted in the same way as one taken after it. Therefore, there is no universal maximum EGT temperature applicable to all engines: values must be interpreted according to the configuration and recommendations of the tuner or engine manufacturer.

The red or blue backlight with adjustable brightness allows you to adapt the display to the cockpit lighting. The 52 mm diameter facilitates installation in a suitable location, while the approximately 1.83 m probe cable connects the sensor to the dashboard. The CT-SUPPORT bracket is sold separately.
