Pair of Adjustable Rod End Cups for Mazda MX-5 (1995–2005)
The OBP pair of adjustable rod end cups for the Mazda MX-5 (1995–2005) replaces the upper control arm bushings while adding wheel camber adjustment. Designed for sport suspensions and threaded coilovers, they allow you to fine-tune the MX-5’s front suspension geometry based on its use on sport roads, racetracks, or in competition.
Adjustable camber allows you to adjust the angle of the front wheels to adapt the front axle behavior to ride height, tires, and suspension settings. This feature is particularly beneficial on a Mazda MX-5 tuned for greater precision and to optimize tire performance in corners.
These shock absorber top mounts use PTFE-coated carbon steel rod ends. This mounting creates a more direct connection at the shock absorber’s upper mounting and limits unwanted movement associated with softer suspension components.
The OBP cups are machined from solid 6061 aluminum and then anodized. They are equipped with a rod end featuring a 17 mm bore. Reducer inserts measuring 10, 12, or 14 mm are available separately to adapt the mounting to the diameter of the shock absorber rod when necessary.
Part number OBPTM012F is supplied as a pair to fit the entire front axle and includes 6 M8 mounting bolts. OBP specifies compatibility with Mazda MX-5 models from 1995 to 2005.
