Cartek X-Pro Electronics Circuit Breaker Kit with External Button

The Cartek X-Pro Electronic Cut-Out Device Kit with External Button is designed for race and rally vehicles, particularly those equipped with engines of large cubic capacity or heavily modified engines, including V8s. It includes both interior and exterior controls, with a choice of a red or blue external button.

The X-Pro supports a starting current of 650 A and up to 2,000 A peak current. Its engine shut-off outlet has an adjustable protection threshold of 5, 10, 15, or 20 A, allowing the device to be adapted to the connected circuit.

Engine Shutdown and Battery Isolation

The cut-out device first cuts off the power supply to the circuit required for engine operation. It then disconnects the battery’s negative terminal from the vehicle’s ground, isolating the battery from all electrical equipment.

Protection against generator shutdown surges is built in. The engine shutdown outlet can be connected to an ECU or power distribution module input, a generator relay, or the ignition system, in accordance with the Cartek manual.

On a vehicle equipped with a generator, connecting the engine shut-off function is essential: simply disconnecting the battery is not sufficient to shut off the engine.
