Zündkerzen NGK mit Platin haben eine Mittelelektrode ausPlatin, die sowohl an der Mittelelektrode als auch an der Masseelektrode angebracht ist. Durch die Verwendung von Platin wird die Lebensdauer der Zündkerze verlängert und die lineare Leistung auch bei starker Beanspruchung aufrechterhalten. Die geringe Größe der Elektrode ermöglicht eine geringere Nutzspannung und optimiert die Verbrennung.
