Serie Road - für den Einsatz auf der Straße und auf Schnellstraßen
Die Produkte der Road Serie werden aus Polyurethan hergestellt. Dies ist ein Spezialkunststoff, den es seit etwa 30 Jahren gibt. Durch Fortschritte konnte das Material mit besonderen Eigenschaften ausgestattet werden. Die Teile der Radaufhängung gehören zu den am stärksten beanspruchten Bauteilen eines Autos und sind enormen Belastungen ausgesetzt.
Ursprünglich werden diese Teile aus Gummi hergestellt, das Produkte enthält, die sich mit zunehmendem Alter verschlechtern. Mit der Zeit bewegt sich das Fahrzeug immer mehr und bietet immer weniger Kontrolle über die Geometrie der Federung.
Dies führt zu einer beschleunigten Abnutzung der Reifen, Instabilität beim Bremsen und schlechter Straßenlage.
Powerflex hat daher das Material geschaffen, um diese Probleme zu überwinden. Sie entwickelten eine Polyurethanverbindung, die es ermöglicht, Teile herzustellen, die 25-30% steifer sind als frühere Gummiprodukte, und dabei genau die gleichen schalldämpfenden Eigenschaften aufweisen.
