The VDO oil pressure sensor with an M18×150 connection is used to measure oil pressure. It operates in the range of 0 to 10 bar and outputs a resistive signal intended for a compatible gauge.

The 10 to 184 ? outlet must match the electrical specifications of the gauge or indicator being used. An identical display range alone is not sufficient to guarantee compatibility. The 0.50 bar ± 0.20 bar alarm contact provides a function separate from the measurement, designed to control a compatible warning light.
