ITG: Performance Air Filters, Carburettor Filters, Baseplates & Filter Socks

ITG is a British manufacturer specialising in high-performance air filters for sports cars, tuned engines and motorsport applications. The brand develops carburettor air filters, filter baseplates, filter socks and vehicle-specific performance air filters, using foam filtration technology designed for demanding rally and circuit environments.

The quality of ITG filters is based in particular on the use of multi-layer reticulated foam. Rather than relying on a single uniform filtering structure, ITG can combine several foams with different densities: the first layers capture larger particles, while the following layers provide finer filtration. The objective is to achieve an essential balance: protecting the engine from contaminants while maintaining an airflow suited to its requirements.

ITG also adapts its foam characteristics and filtration surface area to the conditions encountered in motorsport. An engine used on a circuit is not exposed to the same amount of dust as a rally car. For example, the manufacturer recommends 125 cm² of filter area per 100 bhp with its Touring Car foam, compared with 200 cm² per 100 bhp with its WRC foam designed for dusty environments. As with a Megaflow filter, the dimensions and filtration surface area must be selected according to the engine configuration in order to maintain sufficient airflow.

Developed for specific vehicle applications, they replace the original filter and provide ITG foam filtration technology while retaining the vehicle's original airbox configuration.
